  • Comments Thread For: Lucas Browne, Hatton Turn Down Whyte Fight on Joshua Card

Hatton Promotions have turned down short notice proposals from Matchroom's Eddie Hearn in respect of a twitter proposed bout on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's Cardiff bout on 28th October. The proposed bout was heating up on twitter with the pair both very vocal on the platform and evidently with no love lost.

That's not really short notice. First Wilder, then Jennings, now Browne. Why can't he get a fight?

Could be a blessing tbh, Hearn also said hed made an offer to Miller, then you have Miller being left off that Wilder/Ortiz card, and just now

7 weeks should be enough unless he's totally out of shape. It's not like he has to get down to a certain weight. Brownes rubbish anyway so who cares.

That's too bad, this would have been an exciting slugfest. I'm OK with seeing Whyte and Chisora take on mediocre opponents in the meantime if it leads to them fighting again in the spring though.

excuse central. the joshua fight just got made were they supposed to make the undercard fights first? makes no sense. oh he had to fly across australia ok thats a half day. 6 weeks and 6 and a half days to prepare. basically he can never fight anyone because hes in australia

Yea thats a interesting fight. I think Whyte is highly overrated & think lotsa guys can beat him. Miller would be on the list of guys who I don't hate their chances to beat Whyte.

                    Probably the case.

7 weeks isn't crazy late notice or anything. Its on the borderline maybe, but to me any professional top ranked boxer who's not got a promoter lining up his own fights needs to be in a certain amount of shape to accept fights on 6-8 weeks notice due to their situation & opportunities.
