    LAS VEGAS In hindsight, Abel Sanchez is glad Gennady Golovkin wasn't allowed to squeeze in a fight against Billy Joe Saunders before facing Canelo Alvarez. The ambitious game plan Golovkin's handlers originally designed included a middleweight championship unification bout with Saunders on June 10 in Golovkin's native Kazakhstan. Negotiations between Tom Loeffler, the managing director for K2 Promotions, and Frank Warren, who promotes Saunders, advanced to the point where Warren and Saunders thought the deal was basically done.

    Saunders would have ended the September fight by either breaking GGG's hand or cut from a clash of heads

      Or the actual scenario in which Golovkin can't train seriously after taking Saunders' life in the ring and falling into a deep depression.

        BJS keeps it entertaining. Hope he gets through the slap boxing match with Monroe for a stateside showdown.

          BJS and Monroe should make it a bare knuckle fight to make it even remotely violent.. very good boxers but no power. BJS By questionable decision.
