Dynamite punching Light-Heavyweight Anthony Yarde will face Norbert Nemesapati for the Vacant WBO Intercontinental Championship, with his WBO European belt also on the line, at London's Copper Box Arena on September 16th, live on BT Sport and BoxNation. Undefeated Yarde (12-0, 11 KO's) claimed the Southern Area title by defeating Chris Hobbs in May and added the WBO European title in July with a first-round demolition of Hungarian champion Richard Baranyi, which earned him a number eight spot in the World rankings.

Protect that WBO ranking Frank, there's no need to rush just yet and fight actual eliminators, too many dangerous ranked fighters just now for no reward, however, Ward will probably vacate anytime in the next 6-18 months and the belts will be all be there for the taking. No need to risk that no.8 ranking just yet, edge it up little by little and then when Ward vacates that's the time for an eliminator. Say what you like about Frank Warren but he knows exactly how to navigate the rankings and boxers careers, hence HOF promoter. I have no doubt Yarde will step up when the time is right and fight anyone, that time will be when Ward vacates the belts, for now develop and keep that ranking.
