  • Comments Thread For: Erickson Lubin: I'll Expose Charlo and Break Him as a Fighter

NEW YORK This is too much, too soon. That's what Erickson Lubin keeps hearing and reading about his upcoming title shot against Jermell Charlo. The defending WBC super welterweight champion even questioned Wednesday what the 21-year-old Lubin has accomplished since he turned pro in November 2013 to justify becoming the mandatory challenger for his 154-pound title.

He has already been exposed. He was down on points big against John Jackson. A fighter can only be exposed once

Rewatch Vanes and Jackson fights. Jermell has issues, unlike his brother, if you get off before him. Basically, his gloves go in his pockets. And I don't think Lubin is the kind of fighter you can pull a punch out of a magic hat and catch him like Jackson. I smell upset, Jemell talking a L.

Vanes has always been tricky and Jackson is no push over. He was winning vs Andy Lee before he got put to sleep also. Plus I think that was his first fight with his new trainer. He looked really good vs Charles Hatley in April.

Strong words coming from Lubin. He is adding fuel to the fire that motivates Charlo. The last guy Lubin fought was a legit puncher. Charlo is a complete well rounded fighter. Lubin is taking a major step up. Lets see if he's ready for it. This is Jermell's Jrock moment. Lubin is more dangerous than the Jrock his brother faced. He's gonna have to bring the heavy artillery cuz this kid is coming to take his head off.
