A teenage boxer has been left wheelchair-bound after suffering brain damage in his first-ever fight. Nathan Davies, of Porthcawl, was rushed to hospital after he collapsed in the third round of his boxing debut. The 17-year-old was on a life support machine for two-and-a-half weeks with a bleed on the brain.

He's bound to a wheel chair but he can recover from hit, they say that he regained the feeling and movement from his arm and that he is going to recover bit by bit on his limbs. God bless this kid.

Wow, that's awful. First fight gets brain damage and is wheelchair bound.

Hopefully in time he can recover enough to live a decent life. Miracles happen and everything and anything is possible.

This is why fighters demand to be paid right or no fight. This is a deadly sport

That's awful. Boxing is very dangerous and this is why the fighters need to get treated right financially. Their health and even their lives are at risk every time they step into the ring. I hope he can recover enough to still have an enjoyable life.
