Mares agreed to fight fellow Mexican Andres Gutierrez on the same card and wonders why Santa Cruz was offered what Mares considers an easier fight than the one he accepted. LSC missed fighting sparring partners and get overpaid.
That's what's happening here. He thinks he's special.
He's going along with what everyone else is doing in the Haymon culture, take one tough fight every once in a while, and get sparring partners most of the time.
