Promoter Eddie Hearn told London's Daily Mail for a story posted to its website Tuesday that he anticipates a crowd of "nearly 80,000" for Joshua's mandatory heavyweight title defense against Kubrat Pulev on October 28 in Cardiff, Wales. The capacity for that stadium is listed as 74,500, but it can accommodate more fans for boxing than for rugby and soccer, the two sports that primarily take place there.

AJ is a big star but 80k against Pulev? C’mon, They aren’t gonna sell out 80K for this fight.. They should have done it in the O2 arena 20k loud fans would have been better.

No one knows Pulev and he isn’t a trash talker.. Canelo vs Smith struggled to sell 40k tickets and they gave away so many tickets for free.. Smith is a way bigger name than Pulev so Hearn isn’t gonna sell 80k tickets for this fight.

Also, Joshua is literally a household name in the UK and is a genuine star/celebrity here now. Canelo isn't a household name in USA but he does decent numbers because of sheer population size.

Joshua will sell out against anyone in the UK at this very moment. He does huge PPV numbers and big capacity fights in a relatively small country.

He could sellout 20k at the O2.. That's no easy feat. 20K is a big number.. Mayweather v Mac only had 14k fans in the arena.. But 80k.. that's a tough call. I dont think many will be excited to see AJ vs Pulev and lead up will be dry and Pulev is a quite guy. If they sell it out then Props to Hearn and AJ but AJ usually sells out in minutes sometimes less than a minute.. I think tickets will be available for weeks for this fight.
