  • Comments Thread For: Alvarez Will Move To Have Adonis Stevenson Stripped if No Fight

Eleider Alvarez is not willing to take a backwards step from his mandatory world title shot. Alvarez has been waiting for a long time to secure a crack at WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson. But in several recent interviews, Stevenson made it clear that there wasn't any money in fighting Alvarez, so he would rather face WBA "regular' champion Badou Jack or IBF, WBA Super, WBO champion Andre Ward.

Alvarez is tricky as the ****ens, but Stevenson has skills too, along with a murderous punch. This could end up being a really interesting fight... if the blasted thing will just HAPPEN.

WBC really be bullshjtting with their mandatories. Just give them money.

WBC are not fair at all. They pressurized Canelo to abandon his belt to GGG, yet they allow other champions not to honour their mandatories... Stevenson and Wilder are typical examples.

I'd rather see Stevenson fight a live body, but at the same time him getting stripped seems like a more fitting end to his title reign.
