Comments Thread For: Andy Lee: Canelo-Golovkin - Best 160 Fight Since Leonard-Hagler

Former middleweight world champion Andy Lee is really looking forward to the upcoming showdown between Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight king Gennady Golovkin. Canelo (49-1-1, 34 KOs) will challenge Golovkin for the middleweight throne on September 16th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Lee was scheduled to face Golovkin at one point in 2014, but GGG withdrew after the unexpected passing of his father.

Damn he just shat on a bunch of fights by saying this. Hopkins-Trinidad, Hopkins-Taylor, Taylor-Pavlik, Williams-Martinez, Canelo-Cotto.

I'm so glad this fight is happening now.

Very interesting. G is getting old but I still pick him to win

A couple years ago he would have slaughtered Canelo. I think Chepo throws in the towel.

Tired of hearing Canelo became some defensively wizard. He gasses and doesn't like it when it gets hot.

G will walk him down and put the pressure Canelo doesn't like.

Anyway. This fight will be great.

Canelo does his best work when he's being pressured its when he has to chase that's a problem
