Comments Thread For: Cleverly: Jack Was Strong, Broke My Nose and It Was Downhill

This past weekend, Nathan Cleverly retired from boxing after losing his WBA "regular" light heavyweight title after being stopped in five rounds by Badou Jack at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Welshman showed his bravery with his willingness to fight on while he was being outclassed at the T-Mobile Arena, but amid his inability to defend himself from increasing punishment, referee Tony Weeks came to his rescue.

Liam Walsh and Cleverly agreed. I think you got some revisionism coming in there with Brook - he was competitive the first few rounds but then his eye socket went and it was downhill from there. Not to say Spence wouldn't have won. Even Smith was competitive .. until he wasn't.

I'm also looking at how Spence Jr. just methodically broke Brook with body shots, and started walking through Brook! As far as Smith goes:

        Dan Rafael

Smith was game, but he was no match for the bigger, faster, more powerful Alvarez, who knocked him down three times, including with a brutal left hook to the body that finished him in the ninth round.

Weak Wales Wimp Nate Cleverly never was a top boxer-EVER

Tinman Weak Nate Ain't Great Cleverly was exposed by Kovalev as a boxing nothing. Now Badnews Jack finished the meager Career of weak Nate Nothing. Good riddance to that sad wimp Cleverly. All of Wales is full of weak frail men who would crumble at my feet.I could take all of Wales in a matter of days with 50 of my Irish Warrior Buddies, FACT

Badou Jack's performance was conservative. Jack picked spots where Cleverly didn't guard... different training IQs. Jack looked smaller than Cleverly, as did Floyd and Ward with their previous opponents..

the manner in which you throw a punch outweighs the bigger challenge!

Weak response, Jack's skill set is very evident and has been displayed in all of his fights. He seems to be getting better every time out
