If you want a guy who could have beaten this version of Floyd, you don't need a McGregor (unless you need a punchbag in prep) what you need is a Sugar Ray Leonard or a Tommy Hearns.

Its no secret Floyd always fought shorter guys in his career with shorter arm lengths

If Floyd is forced to come forward all of his best assets are nullified like the pull counter, lead left hook and even to an extent the lead right hand.
He tries to counter on the front foot but he found that difficult last night, even against Zab Judah he was forced to use those tactics of keeping his hands up and breaking guys down.

Ive always said that Floyd would have problems had he fought taller skilled guys, because he would no longer have the advantages he does against smaller ones. FFS a over the hill Oscar De La Hoya won 4 rounds against him.

Could you imagine FMW trying to stalk and walk down someone like a prime Thomas Hearns or even Sugar Ray Leonard?

Floyd is great but hes not the best ever.
Floyd Mayweather Jr is retired now. Lots of fighters would have beaten the Floyd who fought tonight such as Khan or Jeff Horn. Floyd was rusty, slow and is 40. He is an ATG and has had an amazing career. Any version of Floyd would have beaten the Mayweather Jr of tonight.

If by blue print you mean putting up a decent fight early then severely gassing in the later rounds so much the ref had to save you from getting pummeled by a guy with brittle hands then yes, McGregor showed how to beat him.

The blueprint is wait until Floyd is old and shot.
At this point Mayweather is done. His legs and movement looked gone last night. He looked out of shape and had trouble with a scrub last night. Better stay retired or fight an also shot PAC for one more payday.

Yea it's called 40 years of age Floyd looked 40 every fighter ages theres nothing any great fighter can do about that. Floyd is just lucky he wasn't fighting any elite fighter from 147 to 160 or it would have been the first time you see a ref saving Floyd from being knock out cold

Yeah, wait for him to be 40 years old and retired two years. Lol

Ohh and be noticeable bigger than him.

Props to mcgregor for stealing rounds with some decent skills.

All his best wins were against guys 5'8 and under where he had the height and arm length advantage. FACT.

He isnt going to do the pull counter as effectively against a taller guy whos a southpaw and heavier is he
Has Floyd even ever fought a southpaw taller than him who was decent? How are you the best ever without facing a decent southpaw with a height advantage
LOL like any good, tall and speedy southpaw can pop up anytime. you're trolling

If Floyd keeps fighting Super Middle Weights or Light Heavyweights 11 years his junior, yup, he'll definitely lose eventually. No doubt. Seriously question whether he can get to 60-0.

                      He's done for good now.

How many years until young fighters stop calling him out now? I say 7. He'll still get called out when he's 46. And the haters will say he's ducking...
