Comments Thread For: UFC Fighters Respect McGregor's Skills, But Can't See Him Win

Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee don't consider it a betrayal of their profession to say Conor McGregor will probably lose his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather. "I've got to be honest," said Ferguson, the UFC's No. 2-ranked lightweight. "It's going to go past four rounds, but it's going to be Mayweather." Ferguson and Lee will fight for the UFC's interim lightweight belt in Las Vegas in six weeks, but they'll both spend this weekend in the same arena watching McGregor, who holds the UFC's regular lightweight title. The contenders both respect McGregor's abilities, but they also understand the scope of the task he's facing Saturday night.

McGregor might do the unthinkable and win. I don't know if Mayweather has enough power to keep Conor off him if he has slowed down too much at age 40. Conor is superfit and has the confidence of Ali. What can help him, and not saying he will definitely win, is the awkward and different looks he will give Floyd in there.

He only has two options: go full jihadi and get KTFO or death by a thousand jabs

Ali had confidence being Gold Olympian in boxing... Floyd is hard to hit, and his intuition is beyond that of the unfit Paulie sparring sessions. Get ready for the pull counter highlights that's going to make McGregors legacy look a fluke in boxing forever. That's not a good look for the Fighting Irish, which was based on pugilism

The more I watch the prefight hype the more interested I am in seeing the fight. Connor sure can talk some ****. I can't wait to see Floyd hand out a classic ass whooping.

For the sake of Boxing hopefully Mayweather starches McG.

There is no excuse for Mayweather to lose.

                    after Floyd Mayweather,

Conor is defending his belt against Khabib Nurmagomedov in Moscow Russia

then he will go back and have another boxing match

                    then he will retire
