Conor McGregor has put to shame Floyd Mayweather's suggestion that he was struggling to make fight weight by comfortably making the mark for the two combat sport superstars' fight in Las Vegas on Sunday. The American had questioned his Irish foe's ability to hit under the 154 pound (69.85kg) limit after his "spies" had informed him that McGregor was battling a tough weight cut.

Yeah, we've heard that for your last 10 fights, Floyd.
Ready for the boring 12 round unanimous decision. Yup, you heard it from me first.

I don't think those last 10 opponents were making their professional debut. Having trained for only a year..

McGregor is going to get battered..

I put my money where my mouth is on this one.
              Granted it be only $600

Anything less than a TKO would be an embarrassment..

I am a fan of both these fellahs and my opinion on who wins overall has been the same from the start, Its Conor Mcgregor.
Ive been a boxing fan forever and only really got into MMA over the last few years and watching fighters like mcgregor gets everybody interested.
Floyd is 100% the master of defence in that he demonstrates the art of boxing almost perfectly "striking an opponent without being hit". with this for most "fight fans" is pure boredom but, to boxing fans it pure genius.
nobody can or could question it. however, he has had a couple of VERY close calls in fact, 4 fights with 2 other boxers...maidana and castillo...miguel cotto bloodied his nose and mosley hit him clean but outside of that, nothing. all styles and shapes and sizes have tried their own methods and failed.
Conor has changed the sport of MMA into something massive I think we all agree, Prior to the aldo fight his confidence in what he was doing and done was sky high and followed his prediction to the letter and almost the second. this in terms of excitement and value for money is far ber better than ANY mayweather fight. this is what brings "fight fans" to a floyd mayweather fight and why? because an MMA fighter (especially conor mcgregor) will make him fight and fight fans/boxing fans alike wanna see what floyd does, his reaction, what if he gets hit by conor? will conor go the distance with a master "boxer"? will floyd be able to fulfill his prediction of a ko (as he has said many times over in many fights) and not happen. Floyd will not commit unless hes certain. EXAMPLE: gatti and mitchell....he went for it almost straight away because he knew he could but, against mcgregor hes gonna be very weary. I think conor will come out in a wide stance, legs far apart and keep center ring...he will initiate the fight and floyd will counter (watching out for counter counter) he may miss initially because conor is so tall and has a massive reach even from the wide stance which will make him slightly shorter but his long arms will compensate.
conor will also lean back to avoid shots using little effort whilst watching floyds movement and look for his timing...i believe conor will sucker floyd into something based on floyd thinking hes just a novice and catch him, its gonna be floyds movement that conor will be watching all the time, it wont be where hes throwing its gonna be where he moves his legs. if floyd then becomes confident enough (like in the gatti/mitchell fights) he will feel more comfortable about exchanging and get caught.
there are few boxing contests ive seen where combos are thrown with each punch having full power and connection success without moving their legs. floyd does not really hit that hard but, HE MOVES HIS LEGS THROUGH THE PROCESS TO GET THE EXTRA POWER EFFECT WHEN DOING SO. conor will hit him from the same position and only move forward into the shots as hes connecting. floyd has excellent precision with the larger glove and conor has excellent precision with the smaller glove.
so, simple sums.....conor will have the better precision and already has the better power with either glove!
floyd is very quick and has impeccable timing against other boxers but, conor is a mixed martial artist who is also blessed with excellent timing against opponents with boxing skill, karate,ju jitsu, kick boxing, etc etc with floyd its just boxing.
conor can respond from far more attacking angles than floyd FACT.
yes, its boxing rules but the ref cannot tell conor not to use movement he uses in MMA its only the striking and going to a neutral corner if an opponent goes down.
floyds fight will be to wear conor out, he wont go for it and commit because he will look pretty ****** if conor drops him coming in.
conor will be goading floyd to see if floyd will come in, if floyd does not respond conors gonna walk through floyds shots to catch him, he will do this because he has a very tough chin but, floyd will just back away and shoulder roll.
conor will do what freddie roach once said in the pacman fight build up..."we will just keeping hitting his arm/shoulder till it breaks".
each man has his own take on what hes gonna do but, one thing is for sure.....conor has faced boxers and floyd has not faced an MMA fighting machine who will have conditioned his body in the usual way to expect ALL kinds of aggression from his opponent.
as we know floyd has not fought for 2 years but, this wont bother him because hes a 2am gym rat and always will be in good shape no matter what conor says.
floyd wont go for the ko because its too risky....he has to win and win early sooooo.......he HAS to go for it early!!!
hes the king of the sport and conor will have a brand new fight card with one opponent, his first fight, floyd mayweather jnr, a win or a loss? it seems impossible based on this for floyd to lose so hes got to go for it to save boxing OR has conor mcgregor got the tools? go 12 rounds with floyd? 12 rounds and fmj looks ******, lose to conor and floyd looks ******, as the rounds progress floyd will look less the great we know he is and people will just say he does enough to win.....yes great defence but can he fight like he says? no. hes gotta get conor outta there inside of 5 rounds.
conor wins no matter what and why?
his ball size is very large (as seen in pre-fight photos)
what he brings to the table.
he has lost before and this doesnt bother him like it would floyd.
hes the first at his level to do cross over.
the fan base he brings and creates from this.
the pay check is far greater than his last ten fights.
he will sustain far less damage physically.
he has probably the best chance out of any mma fighter to win.
other boxers will want to fight him because of all the above.
                conor wins no matter what.

The first time he couldn't KO his opponent in the 1st round he got stretched and choked out. In the rematch he winded and fought on the back foot and ran. Out side of having power and a lucky shot Connor has no skill base to be in the ring with Floyd. As the rounds start to mount up the fight will favor Floyd more and more. There are going to be a lot of MMA fans heading to boxing gyms after tonight.
