Comments Thread For: Terence Crawford-Julius Indongo: Risk All Around

By Cliff Rold - Title unification was never easy. That was true well before the WBC broke away from the WBA in the 1960s. In the 1930s, the middleweight and flyweight titles had a slew of claimants to the world title. Everyone was making enough money that holding off on ultimate unification' took about a decade to complete. Money is the root of it after all...

Arum saved all the money only to pay Crawford & Indongo 7 figure purses. This is why Loma couldn't get a decent opponent 2 weeks ago.

'' Since the WBO came into existence in the late 1980s, only two fighters have held all four major belts simultaneously: Bernard Hopkins who unified the middleweight crown and Jermain Taylor who took it from him. The winner Saturday will be the third.''

Wow! great detail here by Mr. Rold. Why am I not surprised only Americans have accomplished this?

Hoping for a good fight with less clowning around and showboating from Crawford, just fight.

Loma doesn't want a seven figure payday. He keeps looking at six figure and less matchups. Salido won't get it for him, Salido did his damage and the rematch isn't attractive, Loma was supposed to KO him the first time. Rigo can't draw at all, hard to see that working for him. Marriaga wasn't worth five.

If he's clowning, he's winning. Hope he clowns all night long.

A good jab can disrupt Crawford. Indongo is taller and has reach as well. The much more refined Crawford is the favorite, but don't be surprised if Indongo uses his size, reach, and legs to outbox Crawford from the outside and lose a decision to the house fighter.
