Comments Thread For: Michael Bisping Willing To Do 'Boxing Match' With Tony Bellew

Michael Bisping, Britain's first UFC champion, has opened the door to a potential boxing showdown with former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew. In a move that echoes UFC superstar Conor McGregor swapping the octagon for the ring to take on former pound-for-pound boxing king Floyd Mayweather later this month, Bisping expressed his eagerness for a cross-code bout.

LOL every UFC guy of any notability has called out a boxer I think at this point. Sh^t is getting nuts & this is why I keep saying this Aug. 26 thing won't be the last time we see something like this. The biggest one probably but not the last one.

This fight is a gold mine in the UK.
Bellew got his wish. It's under boxing rules, not MMA.

In other words, if he manages to beat GSP in November he has yet another reason to avoid defending his Middleweight Championship... Provided Dana even allows said boxing match to happen.

His legacy is in being the leader on a lot of things, and to have others follow in his wake.

Whether that be MMA cross sport fights or drug testing.

The fact anyone even pays to watch Tony Bellew box boxers blows my mind. The idea of them being interested in him against a non-striker MMA fighter is really, really confusing. I guess Brits just love any athlete so long as they're British, even if they're not that good or exciting? I don't get it?

There's been a plague of ****ty meme fights lately, cross-sport fights, fighters fighting well past their prime, fighters jumping two and three weight divisions at a time to get knocked out. This crap needs to stop.
