I love it when someone declare a discussion over because they have no more argument. You couldn't make a case for why Jacobs action was different from Lemieux's so you deflected, tried to change the subject, and now you're "taking your ball and going home." I could care less about 2nd day weigh-ins and even less about who was handicapped by extra weight. I'm just a fan, not a boxer or a coach.

Yep, there are some seriously hopeless characters with mental issues posting on this site. But I say that apart from the strange ones there are some who are very knowledgeable and appreciate the sport and a good laugh now and then.Comment

Chavez Jr. would have been easy to drop back in the day in my old neighborhood. Baseball bats and chains worked every time. Seriously though, you are absolutely right about Jr.'s chin. He is physically tough but mentally weak.??? Are you new to boxing?? Chavez has one of the best chins. Sergio who Knocked Paul Williams out cold couldn't even knock him down.
Google Chavez Jr. Chin and you'll ready plenty of articles on how good his chin is... Now his heart is something different. But only an idiot would say Chavez Jr. Is easy to drop or knock out...Comment

I agree with you. I think Danny showed GGG too much respect. He did very well when he exchanged. The Canelo fight might be interesting because Canelo is going to invite those exchanges. Let's see how GGG reacts with someone who invites him in then hits back every time. If GGG gets greedy and stays in too long he might get caught and then get cautious.Comment

He definitely showed way too much respect but he gave a couple of rounds he was winning pretty easy away when he did engage and got the worst of the exchange. Even his corner was telling him to stop. I counted a couple of rounds he won almost all 3 minutes and then lost it in a quick exchange just like that...I agree with you. I think Danny showed GGG too much respect. I REALLY was looking forward to seeing GGG vs. Chavez on July 2014. But good old Bob and his contract extensions on top of contract extensions killed it. That and his $1,000,000 per/lb penalty GGG's side demanded as well. Sht if he came in 2lbs over the limit he would of been fighting for free.Comment

This is actually one of the better boxing sites for comments. I 1st heard about it from Dougie Fischer in his comments over in Ring Magazine. Hes mentioned a few more times since when his readers ask for boxing site suggestions. He said their are a few means but also a lot of knowledgeable commentors.Comment

I never ever cared either. If a fighter makes weight they are at that weight class. Case CLOSED!I love it when someone declare a discussion over because they have no more argument. But I'm REALLY looked forward to Canelo making same day weight and STFU these RTARDS that say he blows up to 180, 190, 210lbs.
He used to do the same weight all the time until ppl started bi@tching and wanted him to keep going higher and higher in weight class at under 25 years old.
There still gonna bi@tch I know.Comment

I had GGG winning in a very close fight. A rematch would settle things. I could easily see Jacobs dropping GGG and winning going away in a rematch. If Canelo wins (big if) the Sep 16 fight, I think Saunders would be next, then the winner of Danny Jacobs v. Jermall Charlo would be a good fight for Sep 16 next year.He definitely showed way too much respect but he gave a couple of rounds he was winning pretty easy away when he did engage and got the worst of the exchange. Arum is a bit different. Sometimes he can be a very insightful straight shooter, but at other times, it seems that he has a special radar that warns him away from being honest and telling the truth. The top promoters seem to be a breed apart. Haymon is a mysterious secretive type guy, Arum has more agendas than the Borgias and Oscar is fighting personal demons.I REALLY was looking forward to seeing GGG vs. Chavez on July 2014.
