Abel Sanchez, trainer of IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 34 KOs) is really looking forward to September 16th, when his star fighter defends his belts against Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in an HBO Pay-Per-View main event.

Before anyone starts criticizing Abel for this comment, shut up. Somebody in this fight needs to talk a little ****.

I was going to start criticizing Abel for this comment, but then saw your preemptive "shut up" and thought better of it.

Actually, I hardly think of Abel's comment as *****-talking. He's calling it like he sees it.

haha yeah i dont mind may vs mac but i think this fight needs a lot more promotion for sure... Canelo, oscar and ggg are pretty much silent and asleep... Sanchez is the only one that creates headlines.... Sanchez is the new freddie roach... He is trainer/promoter.... Tom from k2 promotions never says anything interesting either

The Jacobs fight was a good test for GGG. I think that fight is going to help him a lot with Canelo. Canelo on the other hand I dont see how the Chaves fight or the other dude (I cant remember his name right now) helps him prepare for Golovkin.

I can see Golovkin easily beating Chaves and the other guy. On the other hand I think Jacobs has an easier time with Canelo than he did GGG. Winnable fight for either guy but I'd lean with Jacobs winning comfortably if he fought Canelo the same way he fought GGG. The Brook that showed up against GGG would also be a tough fight for Canelo that would either go 12 or stopped in the later rounds with Canelo being the winner.

Im leaning towards Canelo if the fight goes a competitive 12 for several reasons

Some of what he says make sense. However, he did predict Golovkin would figure Jacobs out by the 8th and knock him out. Now he's saying he had concerns about Jacobs.

Totally different styles Jacobs a mover fast feet both come in 175-180. Canella slow feet can't use same strategy side to side speed movement he will have to in large spots fight

Fight Trainer supports his fighter. Non story.

I agree. I'd prefer to see more headlines here about this fight versus the other one.
