"What I do know is he still seems to hurt all of his opponents. He’s always knocking them down, staggering them and busting them up. He’s just not finishing them anymore. I never repeat Pac has lost his power. I always say he has lost his ability to score stoppages. There is a difference."

Great article, as usual. I don't always agree with absolutely everything you say, but you are definitely one of the wisest boxing minds out there currently.

People give Duran too much crap for the 2nd Leonard match. They have this casual mindset where they just look up the rematch, call him a quitter and don't even bother with anything else he accomplished; ignorantly bypassing on arguably, the near-perfect fighter to ever grace the squared circle.

But if folks truly understood boxing, they'd know that Duran had to do what he did for the good and sake of boxing. It was Leonard who didn't want to engage, he was the one who didn't show up to fight because he was scared ****less of Duran.

Props for the James Toney love. He was the best Philly shell fighter and had the best chin.

Also great points about Pac. Higher weight class + higher elite level of competition + natural aging progression and physical decline = fewer knockouts, DUH!

It ain't too hard to figure out, doesn't mean he was on PED's before.

not meaning to sound like a know-all, but I have been saying this for years

does he still have speed..... yep!

            power..... yep!

can he still pull the trigger..... yep!

in some ways, Pac seems to be a more intelligent fighter now

the only thing that has been noticeably absent for years..... is his stamina/punch-output

Pac fights almost exactly the same, he just gets tired now

Manny looked as fresh as a daisy after firing 1200+ punches at Clottey..... now he looks tired after throwing 500-600, just like everyone else

and Manny Steward is the guy who picked it first, not me

That's one of the greatest P4P lists I've ever seen.

Made me reconsider Ali, who I already considered the GOAT heavyweight, but now I kind of agree that because he fought everybody, that makes him even greater.
