Comments Thread For: McGregor Plans To Continue Boxing Career Beyond Mayweather

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is planning to continue his career as a boxer, beyond the upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather on Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. If McGregor plans to fight the same way he worked out for the media on Friday at UFC's exquisite headquarters in southwest Las Vegas, Mayweather shouldn't have any problem improving to 50-0.

I think he believes Paulie is beneath him. I don't see Conor vs Paulie happening. If Conor fights again I think he'll fight a higher caliber guy than Paulie or he'll fight a more journeyman guy (if he loses & loses bad).

And if the sparring went like Conor is saying all he'd have to do is release the full fight tape post-Floyd & no one else would wanna see that fight either.

McGregor is falling in love with boxing. For financial reasons alone he should stay in the sport. The question is going to be will he want to do anything after the butt ripping he gets on the 26th? He should be planning where he's going to hide. Maybe Ronda Rousey has a spot for him in her cave.

It's smart, if he can survive the embarrassing beating he's about to take.

Losing won't kill his reputation at all. He just needs to walk away with some of his rep intact

Told you its happening. Also Paulie would be a winnable fight. Well much more winnable than any other contender.
He isn't fighting a journeyman, as it won't sell. A winnable fight against a guy who talks as much as Paulie, I can see it happening.

That sounds good and all, but lets wait and see how he does against Mayweather first. He might have second thoughts after the fight is over...

I would welcome you to boxing with open arms Conor, but I don't think you can do both boxing and mma.

You should stay with boxing, study your craft, hire a top trainer and make more money boxing.

A good start after Floyd would be Paulie.
