Comments Thread For: Joshua vs. Pulev Still Likely To Land in Cardiff, Says Hearn

Eddie Hearn has revealed that the Principality Stadium in Cardiff is the most likely venue for Anthony Joshua's next fight against Kubrat Pulev in either October or November. The Joshua camp has had to look for an alternative opponent for Joshua after Wladimir Klitschko retired last week, just three months before he was due to face the Briton in a Las Vegas rematch on November 11.

Hopefully the WBA strips AJ, and names Luis Ortiz the champ, so that Wilder and Ortiz can unify! No one wants to see Wilder vs. Stiverne!

THe winner would be the unified paper champion of the world. Even if they were to strip aj they wouldn't give the belt to Ortiz this isn't WWE. He would fight for the vacant title against another challenger

There is no guarantee Ortiz would take a Wilder fight, he's been good about wanting to fight when he doesn't have a belt but he might change his tune if they hand the WBA to him. If they don't hand Ortiz the belt its presumably Ortiz vs Ustinov. Also the Wilder , Ortiz winner would still have the Stiverne fight to do after and Ortiz / Stiverne wouldn't be a seller either.

Ortiz , Wilder would be a great fight but its probably better he cleans up his mandatory (Stiverne) quick, I Suspect joshua won't be stripped and Ortiz will end up with a signed contract for the Joshua \ Pulev winner.

If the Stiverne fight is such a non seller (no TV deal) let Hearn pick it up cheap for the Joshua Pulev under card he should be able to give them the same money and they get exposure.

Wilder and Ortiz are both WAY better than Charles Martin! The winner would be ready to face the winner of Joshua vs. Pulev! I wish AJ would've just fought Wilder NOW! That would be the best thing for both Wilder and AJ!

Ortiz would take either Wilder or Joshua in a blink! The man knows he doesn't have much time left in the game! I don't like Hearns' plan (Pulev/Ortiz/Wilder) at all! Wilder vs. Joshua should happen NOW, or at least one of them should be fighting Ortiz NOW! **** Pulev and Stiverne! Waste of time!

I do. I would love to see wilder for once in his life fight a mandatory.

Honestly I don't think it would be the best thing for wilder and aj. For starters aj could lose both his belts so it wouldn't even be a unification. A fight between two undefeated heavyweight champion boxers with pretty much a 100% ko ratio should be a ppv fight. At this point it isn't in America because wilders profile isn't high enough. He's not going to have another chance to make this kind of money in his career he needs to maximise the potential revenue for this fight

They are both better than Charles Martin but they aren't better than klitchko!

Maybe I'm pessimistic but what other heavyweight fight is there to get excited about now other than Joshua vs Wilder? Pulev was already ko'd by Wladimir. Oh for the days of Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield and Bowe, and before then.
