Comments Thread For: Vijender Singh Edges Zulpikar Maimaitiali For WBO Regional Belt

The legend of Vijender Singh continued to grow as the Indian boxing star outslugged his Chinese opponent Zulpikar Maimaitiali in a close bout to annex the WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight title here tonight. It was double delight for the fans as Vijender also snatched the WBO Oriental Super Middleweight title from the Chinese, who is nine years younger to him. Vijender won the tiles with scores of 96-96, 95-94, 95-94 in his favour. The docked points seem to have cost Zulpikar.

Singh vs Khan. India vs Pakistan. I think this fight isn't being made to literally not cause a war to date

So Singh barely got by some unheralded Chinese prospect? And Warren was hyping this dude as a potential world champ at 168

barely? He lost convincingly. Judges came to his rescue. This decision is as bad as Murata - Hassan N Dam.

Only positive I see is Vijender fought a fair game while the Chinese was all low blows and dirty tactics.

I did not see the fight, was just reading the article. If that is the case, then Singh has no future in boxing

Singh is already 31 years old. If he was as bad in this fight as some people are saying, then he isn't getting any higher than being a regional level fighter
