Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia: Broner Not Washed Up; Can Still Become Champion

Mikey Garcia expects Adrien Broner to bounce back from his one-sided defeat Saturday night in Brooklyn. The unbeaten Garcia out-boxed and out-worked Broner on his way to a unanimous-decision win at Barclays Center. During his victory over Broner, however, Garcia recognized that the former four-division champion still will give a lot of top opponents trouble.

did anyone really expect mikey to say otherwise? he just beat broner!! of course he's not gonna say broner is done otherwise it'll make his best victory so far seem not so special.

The 3 loss CAN-man is done as far as big fights go after losing big to a smaller Mexi-CAN!!! Headlining on Fox S1 and a couple more arrests for About Billions future. Self-proclaimed "next ppv boxing star" - Lol...not even closer.

Why do casual fans always drop fighters just because they lose???

IMO is Broner gets serious, and a new GOOD trainer he can EASILY he a champ again.

Well there's 2 divisions he can fight in and only 10 titles he could fight for so of course it's possible he could become world champion again

he IS done as far as big fights goes.

look at his track record in big fights. lost to chino, porter and now mikey. he's 0-3. and stop saying "if" he's serious. how do you know he wasnt serious in the mikey fight? stop using that excuses about he's not serious, unmotivated, etc. if he was really that good then we wouldnt even be talking about him being serious, etc.

I don't think so. He'll still get big fights, he'll just have to put a couple of wins together against average opposition on PBC and he'll land another decent name. I don't think anybody thinks he's going to win the big fights against good opposition anymore but it doesn't mean he won't get them.

Even Berto still gets the odd good fight like with Porter, not to mention fighting Floyd.
