Exact same case with most fighters.
One or two clowns in the media ask questions about fights they knew are almost impossible to happen because of promotional issues.
Later, the headlines would say, "fighter A calls out fighter B!"
It doesn't even mention it was an answer to a question.

either way, Todd was dishonest by " forgetting " to mention that the Gamboa fight was dependant upon Mikey signing away his promotional rights
