Absolutely. Thats been one of the biggest problems with Haymon fighters. No one is controlling the narrative of the fighters very well. Thats where not having a promoter hurts a boxer.

If you are going the no promoter route at least have your biggest guys on the schedule all the time so cats like us are talking about the next fight & so you can advertise the sh^t outta that fight for the next 8 weeks ASAP to get casuals & hopefully at some future date the sports fans & even non-sports fan becoming interested in the guy.

Plus with Spence's youth & potential he should be fighting 3-4 times a year so he's definitely a guy who should never be off the boxing schedule for 2 full months.

Brook and Thurman, were both welter's who were hot..... and then not..... without even losing..... simply because other guys sneaked better wins while they sat on their laurels

Brook, to Thurman..... and then Thurman, to Spence

Spence needs to push on and actually make those big fights

He seems pretty knowledgeable about boxing. I hate when they ask a boxer his opinion and you hear the bias in their response.
