Comments Thread For: Linares Warns: Campbell is Good, But This is a Different Level

As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Luke Campbell will fight Jorge Linares for the WBA and WBC Diamond lightweight belts in Los Angeles on September 23. The 2012 Olympic champion has signed up for the toughest test of his professional career against the three-division champion from Venezuela.

He's right, it is a different level. Linares is elite level and Campbell isn't yet.

If he's not at your level why are you wasting your time fighting him, you turned down a unification fight against Mikey Garcia to fight someone who's not in your level..smh

Elite level? Linares hasn't beaten anyone of note. What top fighter has Linares ever beaten? If he ever steps up to Mikey, he'll end up getting stopped. There have been plenty of top fighters at 130-135 for the past few years and he has never faced one. He is used to fighting crappy UK fighters. Remember this guy got KOd by the same Demarco that Broner dominated.

We know this is a different level, and we're all wondering why you're not fighting Mikey Garcia tomorrow, instead of Luke Campbell! Please explain.

Pretty reckless by Hearn putting cambell in with linares

Gonna end his career before it's started

Can't really blame linares he must be making bank fighting in the uk against lesser fighters

This is whats fucked about boxing - Yvan Mendy who beat Campbell and has been on a winning streak since had to fight for some obscure silver title and Campbell who lost to him gets the bigger fight and title shot. This should have been Mendy, not Campbell fighting Linares!!
