Comments Thread For: Gassiev: WBSS is Perfect Opportunity To Become Unified Champ

Murat Gassiev, the IBF cruiserweight champion, has been hard at work at the Summit Gym in Big Bear - working alongside stablemate Gennady Golovkin - where he prepares for his upcoming bout against Krzystof Wlodarczyk, which is part of the eight-man cruiserweight tournament in the inaugural edition of 'the World Boxing Super Series'.

Think he's too green, but best of luck to him and may the best man win.

        Can't wait!

Picking him to win it all, hopefully his style doesn't copy GGG' s too much as I believe that type of style won't help him to win!

Not really unified though is it considering Lebedev is a coward and isn't in there.... Hopefully the WBA order Lebedev to face the winner of the WBSS so they can scrap the 'Super' and get back down to one WBA belt.

I'm rooting for him too! but Gassiev appears to have the toughest road ahead of him : Krzysztof Wlodarczyk is tough mandatory defense then the winner of Yunier Dorticoss ( who holds the Interim WBA ) vs. Dmitry Kudryashov will be next in the semi-finals...my picks for 168-200 have it rough, I think its deliberate!

I still think Usyk is the man to beat in division.
