Comments Thread For: Garcia: Don't Know if Top Rank Would Make Crawford Fight With Me

NEW YORK If Mikey Garcia beats Adrien Broner and Terence Crawford defeats Julius Indongo, Crawford-Garcia would become boxing's biggest fight at 140 pounds. Garcia is more than interested in challenging Crawford, but the unbeaten three-division champion admits his fractured relationship with former promoter Top Rank Inc. could prevent their fight from happening.

If they both look good in their next fight this match up is going to blow up.

You can tell Mikey is on the verge of blowing up. The hate for him is growing. He's saying all the right things right now.

If he beats Broner who knows how far he can ride that wave. Smart money would be to drop down and hold 135 down with the Loma fight looming

I like Mikey but he should really be focusing on the guy in front of him.

The "hate?" WTF are you talking about? Oh well...it doesn't matter. I think Broner is going to upset him and that will be that. Then Mikey can go back down to 135 and knock out Loma.

I like Mikey's attitude. He's not wasting any time or looking to fight lower risk guys to milk his profits. He's in it to make an impact and I know he can easily be the top if not one of the top five p4p fighters in the world right now. I just hope he stays focused on Broner and then move on to other challenges. Broner seems driven for their showdown especially because people are counting him out. Expect Broner to put up a valiant effort, but I still see Mikey as the favorite even if he's jumping up 5 pounds. War Mikey!

Beating Broner who who'll weigh about near 160 or 163 come fight nite is a tough ask but due to his skills and Broner's attitude is why it's 50-50!

Now Crawford on the other hand is total different beast!
Bud is not only skilled and would rehydrate to 154 at fight nite but he has no problem using his size as an advantage so Mikey will be against an insurmountable task!

If he somehow beats Broner and Crawford he would be number 1 in my book pound for pound!

He should stay at 135 for the Loma fight which is more winnable for him and he would get praised but not as much praise for beating Broner and Crawford!

This would be a really good fight. Unless Crawford gets caught with something (which I doubt) he will get pass Indongo easily. I have Garcia beating Broner. It wouldn't make much sense for Crawford to stay at 140 but if Garcia is making noise then yes, he should definitely take this fight. Crawford is slick, has good fundamentals, and power. Not to mention size and reach. It would be competitive but Crawford will win.

Yes, this would be a great fight to make! A fight that needs to happen at 140 while both are in their prime. I don't want to see it slip away and then they finally meet up 5 years later when both have possibly lost a step or two. I don't think Top Rank will have any problems with making the fight, but I bet the negotiations will be tough.
