Comments Thread For: Verdejo To Stay Busy While Flanagan Situation is Sorted Out

The postponement of Felix Verdejo's title fight does not mean that he will leave the gym entirely. Ricky Marquez, coach and manager of the Puerto Rican pugil, said yesterday that he will not stop his pupil's training regime and that he will keep abreast of the injury of Terry 'Turbo' Flanagan, lightweight champion (135 pounds) of the World Boxing (WBO).

Put Felix in with Beltran! Yeah, it's risky, but it's time for Verdejo to be tested! Beltran will test him! In fact, Beltran will come to NY or PR! He's that kind of guy! Make it happen!

Flanagan can't afford to fight Felix. I can't blame Turbo for getting sick, Felix wants more money than flanagan and he brings who? Guess how many Puerto Ricans will make the trip to the UK? I'll tell you who and how many. Two tickets and a cheap hotel for a week is the regular arrangement. Felix is out pricing himself. Maybe Easter can afford Felix, that would draw in the USA.
