Comments Thread For: Holyfield: Joshua Must Think About His Image, Forget Tyson Fury

Heavyweight legend Evander Holyfield has advised IBF, IBO, WBA world champion Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs) to forget about a potential domestic showdown with Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs). Fury has been out of the ring since defeating Wladimir Klitschko in a major upset in November of 2015.

Holyfield protected his image by using the alias Evan Fields, so he knows all about keeping a rep intact. Him and Ward cheated two warriors out of their legacy: Kov and Tyson.

Don't see where Holyfield was going with this one. As long as Fury is viewed as somewhat of an active fighter, he has a claim to being the real heavyweight champion. And that lineage is gonna have to be broken. Why shouldn't it be AJ? He may not being universally recognized as the top heavyweight out there. But he's definitely has the most buzz right now. Who better to rid boxing of this joke called Tyson Fury?

Disagree, it's a huge fight and Furys antics would build it up more. Only issue is if it gets signed then cancelled all year like Fury-Klitschko 2.

fury not a big name fight? Really? WHat kind of ******ed statement is that? It would sell out wembley stadium even quicker than klitschko did and it would be the biggest UK fight of all time. The hype would be unreal by fight night.

It's moronic to think all those head butts were coincidence, twice in both fights? And then his shoulders morphed into super heavyweight proportions when he was just a glorified light HW....yeah okay, he didn't cheat...pffft. I don't buy his good Christian act, everyone knows Holyfield headbutted during fights.

Holyfield basically said forget this clown ..lol

Really undefeatted guys need to fight eachother ......its also about popularity so the fight generates both guys globally .

When / IF this fight takes place Fury will retire permanently bc Joshua is going to level this guy . So lets hope Fury takes a few fights beforehand against actual guys we want to see besides having Klitchko theres really nothing there .
