Comments Thread For: Groves: WBSS is Perfect Chance To Show I'm The Best at 168!

GEORGE GROVES is aiming to prove he is the best super-middleweight on the planet and will start by beating his former roommate. The WBA champion will face fellow Brit and former England amateur team-mate Jamie Cox in the debut season of the revolutionary new World Boxing Super Series. Groves, 29, is eyeing up world domination but his quest will start closer to home with an October 14 date with Cox pencilled in at the Wembley Arena in London.

Groves went out like a used tea bag against Froch twice sadly

Groves just doesn't have it inside to be a great boxer. Nice guy with big ambitions yet not the top ability to be a champion. Froch wilted the flame top weak Georgie Boy twice via TKO. Groves will be remembered for losing to froch twice after talking big and fighting like a fricking wimp. DeGale awaits Groves and Arthur the Abe would be a fair scrap for carrot top Groves.

who actually had first dibbs, i bet it was gallagher cause he wouldn't fight cox or the turk in the first round that's for sure. He would have been begging eddie to get a few road sweepers in there. pathetic LOL

There's no good representation in this tourney, its not like the super 6 where everyone was on the same level. The cruiserweight one is good though

Groves has smooth sailing to the finals, probably the most favorable path of any guy in either tournament

You may be right in what Groves will be remembered for but when you say he fought like a wimp in both Froch fights is a fcking ludicrous.

yOU MAYBE RIGHT as Groves came to fight Froch and gave his all meager as it was. But Groves big mouth set high expectations for the fight that Flame top carrot face Groves could not back up. Bragging and talking tough is fine but back it up with a supreme effort and a stunning victory. Groves is hot air and rectum gas nothing more. Georgie is expelled belly gas that smells because Grovie cannot back up anything. Talks tough but fights weak.

We won`t fight the best man at 168, because Zurdo doesn`t compete.

Considering Benavidez, Degale and even Ramirez aren't in this, winning only makes someone a very good super middleweight.
