    WBA super middleweight champion George Groves admits that he selected what he felt was the easiest opponent of the bunch on Saturday in Monaco, during the World Boxing Super Series draft. Groves, was the top seed in the WBSS' super middleweight tournament, selected undefeated countryman Jamie Cox as his first opponent.

      Cox and Skoglund probably the two worst in the SMW tourney, Groves and Smith probably the two best, so no real surprises there.

        I look forward to seeing Avni Yildirim. Curious about this guy. Hopefully in the meantime, outside of the tourney, I hope we see Anthony Dirrell vs. David Benavidez, and Zurdo Ramirez vs. Jesse Hart! Let's go!

              Not surprised by Groves picking Cox. Thats a gimme. Unless Groves jaw isnt fully healed for sparring and fight of course.

                I like Groves but think his logic is a little silly. He shouldn't come in there to beat the easy guy. He should be coming in there to beat the best not the easiest.

                  Could backfire if Cox fights dirty as usual and gives Groves a cut that causes him to withdraw

                    Love seeing Groves finally get that world title, hope he does well in the tournament he has comeback from adversity many times and is very talented.
