Comments Thread For: Anthony Yarde With Vicious First Round KO To Win WBO Euro Belt

Copper Box, London - lford's Anthony Yarde (now 12-0) won the lightly regarded WBO European title at light-heavyweight with a brutal first round knockout of Hungarian Richard Baranyi. It was Baranyi's first venture away from his homeland and a spiteful right hand floored the visitor in the first round. Bravely rising to fight on, sickening follow up punches from Yarde saw the referee stop the fight.

It seems that this fight was as pointless as I expected. Someone with a pulse next time please Frank

Total tomato can, but the European belt holder. Just seems to be a step in the wrong direction after Hobbs, who put up more of a fight. There is such a thing as holding a fighter back too much.

Yarde definitely has talent though, he'll be breaking through to world level in no time.

I've seen some footage of Yarde, good looking prospect. What's the line on him? Anyone think he'll do well against the boogeymen at LHW?

So much salt from the haters. I love it! Yarde gonna have em haters paying to watch all his fights like they do for Joshua!

Athletically and Skill wise he can already give anyone in the division a run for their money imo, and then there's that ridiculous power.

However we don't know how durable his chin is and we don't know anything about his heart and will. Those are the two tests we need him to go through to see if he can reign at the top. He passes those then everyone should be wary of him, everyone!

He looks the goods but his opposition has been attocious so far. Nobody who has really tested anything about his game stylistically or physically (chin, stamina etc)

Desperately needs a better opponent next up.
