The World Boxing Super Series is delighted to confirm the first two reserves for the Muhammad Ali Trophy. Former WBO Cruiserweight World Champion Krzysztof Glowacki (27-1, 17 KOs) and up-and-coming German youngster Vincent Feigenbutz (26-2, 23 KOs) are on stand-by to join the tournament if one of the original 16 participants is unable to continue. "The World Boxing Super Series will follow a strict schedule," said Roberto Dalmiglio, Comosa`s Head of Management Board.

Nice. I wonder if they are legit doing 8 subs still like they said initially. That seems like a lot of f#cking subs for a 8 man tournament lol.

I'm more curious who the subs are in the 168 tournament cuz thats a tournament with an old guy (Braehmer) + a guy involved in a lot of head clashes (Cox) that could led to a sub being much more likely to be put into play.

I hope they hold off from picking too many subs all at once. I'd like to see them be able to pick up some of these guys who opted out at the start & got a fight scheduled now (the Dirrell vs Benavidez winner or loser for example), but might wanna be a sub in January or something.

Absolutely. Its a W all around. Its already the best high level organized tournament that I've ever seen whatever happens from here.

If they can just avoid injuries & fighters falling out of this tournament it should be guaranteed epic.

Not a lot. Its been an underutilized option for sure. The main ones I think of besides the Super Six is the HBO HW tournament in the 80's & the Ali Exile (aka WBA) tournament in the 60's.

Idk that I'd call the MW thing a tournament. Thats standard boxing format of lining up two fights with the winners fighting each other more than a tournament.

They can call anything with 3 fights a tournament I guess, but for me you need 3 fights to a W &/or more than 4 guys before I can even call it a tournament.

I'd be lying if I said I watched or paid attention to the CW division in the past. It used to be the 1 division I would skip over

But this tournament has me hyped
