Comments Thread For: Flanagan vs. Verdejo Deal Reached For September 16

A deal has been reached for Felix Verdejo's long-awaited opportunity against WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan. For several weeks, the deal was being held up due to a drastic difference between the economic offer made to the boxer and the demands of his team. Verdejo (23-0, 15 KO's) is ranked at number one and the mandatory challenger under the World Boxing Organization (WBO) at 135 pounds, and Flanagan (33-0, 13 KO's) was ordered by the sanctioning body to face him.

London? Flanagan by wide decision. People will say he couldn't have beat him as bad as the scores will be.

Verdejo look explosive and great against Lower Level opposition,, But as he steps up his level of game he has looked more and more less explosive, lackluster and unsure of himself. He better have his head screwed on straight or he's going to get his head Knocked clean off.

            Good fight

I've been feeling a little skeptical about Verdejo, will definitely want to see how he looks here...
