Comments Thread For: Bob Arum: It Was Close, I Thought Manny Pacquiao Won

Jeff Horn pulled off a stunning upset by defeating Manny Pacquiao via a controversial unanimous decision to capture the WBO welterweight crown at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. Fighting in his hometown in front of a crowd upwards of 50,000, 29-year-old former schoolteacher Horn showed no signs of being overawed in the biggest test of his career and made a mockery of his huge underdog tag as he more than matched his Filipino foe.

No. It's you that didn't actually watch the fight or don't know what you're seeing, you bringing up the punch stats proves this. So you just roll with whatever a network like ESPN tells you.

Not surprise Horn won, he was very aggressive and was on the front football the time, the only time he looked like he actually lost a round was in the 9th. With the fight happening in Australia what did Bob Arum or anyone think was going to happen?

Bob setting up his rematch money-grab.

It was a close fight, but let's not pretend they weren't planning to get two bouts out of this if it went the distance.

No, you can't win a fight by landing 10 punches per round without a knockdown or hurting your opponent. Obviously you weren't watching the fight. Since you don't know what your seeing just base it on the facts. Here they are
Less than 100 punches, 15% connect rate, 10 punch avg per round, none devastating. You must be drunk if you think that's a winning performance. That's about as strange as those people who thought Maidana beat Mayweather, or Holyfield beat Lewis, or Chavez beat Whitaker or Ramirez beat Whitaker.
You don't know what your seeing, you see the guy who beats the hell out of the other guy even though you don't want him to win, is the victor. Unless the majority of the world is wrong and your right.

Pacquiao was robbed! This absolutely disgusting decision has damaged boxings already damaged credibility. On Twitter, Robbery was trending, you have stars like Aaron Rodgers saying boxing is rigged, casual fans won't watch again!
