It looks like Yeleussinov has gone back to the amateurs without having a pro fight, there were some complications with his promoter. I'm amazed somebody else hasn't signed him.

With Dychko, I'm not sure he's cut for the pro game. Suspect engine and suspect punch resistance.

I'm surprised by the poor management of the 2016 olympians.

Yeah I agree. I don't understand how a talent like Yeleussinov hasn't been signed up by a top promoter.

I'm very happy to see Buatsi has gone pro, he's the one I've got the highest expectations for.

Yeleussinov bros were actually offered nice contracts. The gold medalist was offered a very healthy contract and is managed by the same group, but for whatever reason he decided to turn it down. Most American promoters do not care to invest in the foreign talent unless they are bringing in money already to the table with foreign sponsorship and TV dollars. The reason for this is until they (if they) get well known to the American public you are not selling a lot of tickets or getting American dollars to back them coming out the gate. Rigoneduex and others have won more medals, other have won plenty on the international tournaments, this is great and as a boxing enthusiast you give them respect, but it still doesn't change the bottom line of business. This is American promoters why they are very skeptical about putting thier own long term invest dollars into them. Most of the young good foreign fighters here are taking care of by conglomerate foreign investment groups ..and they are getting paid what the common people assume they are. If you were inside the industry you would know.

He was offered healthy 6 figure contract, apparently he is getting bad advice and thought there was a lot more out there. Anyone knows in the industry that's not there...not from American promoters, so he may have missed the bus..and going back to the amateurs doesn't garauntee you anything unless you get gold again, it's a let down and then you get even less of a contract if you get one
