  • Comments Thread For: Juan Manuel Marquez Return Now in Play For August 19

August 19 is now the date being contemplated by four division world champion Juan Manuel 'Dinamita' Marquez, for his planned ring return after years of being inactive. Marquez is simply waiting to get a green light from his doctor. As BoxingScene.com reported a few weeks ago, Marquez was in deep training for his planned return but suffered an injury to his left bicep.

Silly me, I always assumed that the Cotto-Marquez fight in the end of the year would be Marquez's first fight.

I'm a Marquez fan but he should have home and gloves up after that impressive Victory against Alvarado now he's been super inactive and approaching his mid 40's. It's better to retire on top then risk turning into Benard Hopkins

We've been playing this "is he going to fight again??" game with Marquez for YEARS now. I posted years ago that I'd lost interest in the will he/won't he Marquez articles, and it's STILL going on. Unbelievable.
