Comments Thread For: Dmitry Bivol To Take Some Time Off, Return Planned For The Fall

Dmitry Bivol continues to build a buzz after halting Cedric Agnew in four rounds this past Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on the Andre Ward-Sergey Kovalev pay-per-view undercard. Agnew had previously gone seven rounds with Kovalev.

As Dmitry Bivol achieves more in the years to come, Robbie Barrett (aka Isaac Clarke) will disparage him, the same way he continually bashes Golovkin.

Why does a young, 11 fight novice need time off? He should be fighting every 6 weeks. Very good prospect though and a great addition to 175.

Because he is not fighting bums anymore.. His last 2 fights were against decent opposition & in a span of 2 months i.e., back to back training after each fight.. Also, IMO he wants to see how the Cleverly-Jack scenario plays out for that regular WBA title..
Once he is returns he should step up the game & face the likes of Barrera, Alvarez..

I'm big on Bivol. He turned Agnew into Kingpin Johnson and Cleverly is the most logical next step for him. Hope he gets that fight before the end of the year

As sure a thing as anyone can predict. BiGayvol isn't far away.

I liked how Bivol looked in his last fight. He's a good prospect. Maybe doesn't have real killer instinct but that's OK, he's fun to watch anyway.

Kovalev fans are lucky. KOV has one foot out the door but Bivol is just arriving.

He's a good fighter. A little bit more seasoning and he will make some noise.

And Beterbiev is fine fighting bums in Canada so yea, Bivol is much needed for these guys.
