Comments Thread For: Daniel Franco No Longer in Coma, On The Road To Recovery

Last weekend in Iowa, once-beaten Daniel "Twitch" Franco (16-2-3, 11 KOs) was rushed to the hospital after suffering a knockout loss at the WinnaVegas Casino and Resort in Sloan. Featherweight prospect Jose Haro (14-1-1, 8 KOs) used an overhand right to knock Franco (16-2-3, 11 KOs) out in the eight to capture the USBA title in a CBS Sports Network televised main event.

Glad that gofundme checks out. For a minute I thought you was trying to get liquor money.

Man! So happy for this kid and his families. I think all boxing events should have an emergency surgery room ready for this kind of thing on site.

I saw that sad story of the kid who was trained by his dad and kept getting dirty it behind the head and he had bleeding on the brain and he is very bad off. It's so sad. Family just broke apart.

Great news to hear he's responsive & getting better. He'll hopefully make a full recovery from here.
