Anthony Joshua will return to training in early August in preparation for a fight in the autumn. The IBF, IBO and WBA heavyweight champion is waiting to see if terms will be agreed with Wladimir Klitschko for a rematch that is expected to be staged at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on October 28.

Why even pursue a rematch seems pointless to me

Klitchkos 40+,inactive and hasnt won a fight in over 2 years. His career is essentially over no need for a rematch it'll be the same outcome

Yeah it would be cool for Klit to go out on a win, but it's more meaningful for this generation of boxing to have the young guns scrapping for true lineage and titles. If AJ loses to another undefeated, it's better for the sport.

Yeah agree compmetely. AJ should focus on the young guns of the sport and see who among them is top dog.

I'm not a Klitchko fan so for me I don't care if he goes out witha W, his legacy is already secure but if he wants to go out with a W it probably won't be against Joshua if he wants another big paycheque then yeah he does the rematch but for me it's not needed
