  • Comments Thread For: Andre Ward: Desire as Strong as Ever; Not Seeing Signs of Slipping

Andre Ward hasn't felt any signs of physical slippage during training camp for his rematch with Sergey Kovalev on Saturday night. Ward is 33 years old and almost 2 decades removed from the beginning of his boxing career, but the IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion still feels fresh. The 2004 Olympic gold medalist isn't sure how much longer he'll box, yet Ward (31-0, 15 KOs) says he possesses the same strong desire that enabled him to clean out the super middleweight division and become the first professional fighter to defeat the 34-year-old Kovalev (30-1-1, 26 KOs).

I think Ward is about to eliminate any controversy as far as who the better fighter is. With no rematch clause, the winner takes all the marbles. Ward says he still has it. I have no reason to think otherwise. I'm looking forward to flying out to see this fight. Hopefully, the Rigo-Flores fight will deliver as well. Super amped.

Bro you wanna take this outside? I'll have you know Ward called me last night and begged me to call off the fight between him and Kovalev. He also said he missed my sweet touch so you're in for a rude awakening June 17.

                The Question is??

I looked into the eyes of the warrior he knew he had lost the battle, even his followers knew what I saw as they all saw it too, even as they rewind the very moment and it's so clear to see, the truth told at the heat of the moment. The politicians gathered their stats and present their reasons for whom should be crowned the king, to lead the people and set an example for the future children on how to lead and to be a warrior to make their parents and country proud. It's too late the fallen warrior had been crowned king. He quickly gathered himself. He said what am I to do as I'm only human. He looked into the heavens and said forgive me as I am your son. I know it is written and now my battle will never ends.

the funny thing is, those guys are likely #1 and #2 in the world

and not sure if Ward has done enough for the #1 spot yet

                    we will see

P4P (ceteris paribus) so, if all things were equal..... I doubt anyone beats Rigo, he is too clinical/precise
