  • Comments Thread For: Roach Will Plead With Pacquiao: He Must Demolish Horn, Get KO

Freddie Roach, trainer of WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, believes the Filipino star will have the best opportunity to end his drought of knockouts. Pacquiao has been unable to end any of his fights inside the distance since the fall of 2009, when he stopped Miguel Cotto in the twelfth round. Since then, all of Pacquiao's fights have gone the distance.

Tsiko Mulovhedzi must be a "pretty good boxer" if his record was 9-7-3 when he beat Funeka.

If you mean Horn, he's not a bad boxer. He's just not above a C level.

If Manny can't put the guy away before 12, it'll cement what I've been saying. Manny is now a point fighter. It "should" be terribly simple for him to stop this guy cold no more than 8 rounds in.

But my sense tells me Manny will do just enough to win rounds to a UD then ask the guy for breakfast the next morning like he did Bradley. A repeat of Pacquiao/Algieri, for free.

Pacquiao has lost a lot of support even from Filipinos.

To his credit, other than Mayweather, he's been highly competitive by knocking down or completely dishing a one-sided beating to his opponents since his knockout to Marquez.

I don't like the Horn fight personally but like Mayweather, he should be allowed to go out as he pleases. You can't discount what Mayweather, Pacquiao, Canelo, Roy Jones, Broner, Marquez, Cotto to name a few, have all done for the sport. All of which lost their share of fans.

Why does he need to plead? As long as he wins, shouldn't that be enough?
