Comments Thread For: Spence's Trainer Gives High Praise To Brook For Spirited Effort

For the last two weeks, former world champion Kell Brook (36-2, 25 KOs) has been taking a lot of heat for the way his recent title defense played. Back on May 27th, before 27,000 fans at Bramall Lane in Sheffield, Brook was stopped in the eleventh round by mandatory challenger Errol Spence (22-0, 19 KOs).

Brook has gotten more praise (and deservedly so) for his last 2 losses, than he did for all the wins he had before he faced GGG!

Nothing but class coming from Spence and his team. I don't understand how people are rooting for this guy and his trainer. I hope he keeps the good fights coming. We may be witnessing the beginning of something special.

With that being said, I'm not sure how to feel about Brook. He has to be one of the few people to get so much respect for losing that I have ever seen. I didn't pay any attention to that GGG farce of a fight. However, I do give him kudos for at least being willing to get in the ring with Spence. That's not something that other top fighters at 147 can say right now...

Amazing what happens when you face fighters that are genuinely considered good.
