Haymon willing to give Diaz away is another sign of good faith. Haymon doesn't care about giving away 1 or 2 of his fighters, he has champions in damn near every division.
So Haymon is willing to give away his fighters by making them fight Loma immediately after he gets a loss? Definitely not trying to secure a win for Russell when Loma is vulnerable he was clearly expecting the Lomachenko who JUST lost to Salido to destroy Russell.

Haymon had much more to lose in this scenario. Feeding a champion to a double gold medalist up and coming prospect with a 396-1 amateur record was certainly a risk, he's smart enough to know that. Not to mention that Lomachenko was virtually unknown at the time.

When's the last time Arum put his fighter, other than Manny of course, in with another promoter and his fighter wasn't the favorite?

Exactly people just knew Loma as a good amateur fighter who already had a loss in his first 2 fights. Haymon was probably trying to show off Russell as a fighter who could take on the top amateur elites.

Arum can't even put together Crawford vs Pacquiao, and those guys are in-house!

How the hell do you know what Haymon was thinking? The man literally never talks.

Come on, do you really think Haymon didn't know what he was looking at? Lomachenko was a risky fight, and he ended up losing his bet. But Haymon, unlike Arum, can actually afford to lose one of his chips.

I'm pretty sure the fight is in the works. I actually think Crawford will be Pacquiao's farewell opponent. Arum wants the torch to be passed to Crawford, not to Haymon's camp.
