  • Comments Thread For: Pascal: Stevenson Doesn't Do His Job; Has Hurt Boxing in Quebec

Back when Jean Pascal was an up-and-coming contender and later the WBC light heavyweight champion, the transplanted French-Canadian helped draw huge crowds to Montreal's Bell Centre. Adonis Stevenson was unknown then and sometimes fought on Pascal's undercards. If Pascal can upset Eleider Alvarez on the Stevenson-Andrzej Fonfara undercard Saturday night at Bell Centre, he'll earn a mandatory match against the Stevenson-Fonfara winner.

Krusher was right, Adonis ****kenson Chickenson is a Joke!
He fights a dude he beat instead of fighting a guy on his undercard. This guy been squatting and ****ting on wbc belt for over 4 years fighting these cans.

I won't call a professional fighter a chicken but I will agree that Pascal is more popular around here and that has a lot to do with his willingness to fight the best. He also fought Froch in England (at 168 lbs) which he did not mention.

All Jean Pascal cares about is winning a popularity contest against Stevenson. He has absolutely no interest in fighting him because he knows that he would lose and probably get knocked out. So all it will be is "they love me more in Quebec" from Pascal.

If you always get to have the privilege of being able to fight in your own place, the least thing you can do is give the local fans what they want. Not many fighters get to fight in their own location most of the time like Stevenson does.

Big lol here. I'm montrealer and I can confirm to you that it is the exact opposite. Stevenson doesn't want anything from Pascal. You said he'd lose, but the fact is Pascal beaten Adonis not once but twice in amateur and trust me ; Adonis remember. He's always acted cautious about pascal. He did provoqued him at first presser but it is only because he's sure Pascal will lose and so won't fight him next. He did not acted that way when he met Pascal unguarded at a restaurant couple months ago (thats what Jean told to adonis last week at a radio show lol.) Lots of boxing drama somehow .
