It's perplexing. I sincerely hope they have some really, really stringent drug testing for this fight. There are a ton of banned substances out there that don't necessarily help your performance, but they help you shed weight like a madman.

We have to remember that Broner is Al Haymon's favorite student. He may be a clown and do some outlandish stuff outside the ring, but Broner brings in the dough every single time he fights. And Mikey has no relationship with Haymon whatsoever from I've been reading, he works directly with Stephen Espinoza of SHOWTIME. So it's not in Al's favor for Mikey to win.

Haymon might try to pull some strings here and mess with the scales or might front some "pocket change" to VADA or whoever does the testing.

How do you know Broner weighs close to 200 pounds? That would make him fat as a pig. Garcia's brother would probably catch any tampering with the weigh in scale. If Broner is overweight but weighs in on weight then Mickey will be lighter than expected.I have never heard of a boxer cheating with a rigged scale. It would be very unusual.

He just fought a couple months ago he'll have no problem making weight for this one.

If that video was really taken 2 days ago then Broner won't have any problems with the weight, he can make 140 in 8 weeks easy.

This is a recent video of him with the weird dyed hair, he looks to be in good shape too to start camp. I think the videos of him partying were just for show, I think Mikey and his team bought it and insisted on the fight taking place as soon as possible because normally fights like this get announced at least 10 weeks before the fight date.



I think it should be a 50 50 fight because of Adrien's advantage in power and size and to Mikey's advantage in skills and IQ. Broner never lost to a featherweight moving up, Mikey been dropped before at featherweight, Adrien can punch and he even dropped Shawn Porter, something full fledged welterweights couldn't do. Looking forward to that one.

I did hear AB say in a recent interview he was cutting from like 160 which is achievable, he also said in the past he had to cut from like 185 which is just nuts.

I don't think AB has the physiology / genetics to keep this up though, he has got maybe 2-3 years left in boxing before he just bloats into his pappy.

If AB turns up motivated and in shape I think he knocks Mikey out.
