Comments Thread For: Arthur Abraham vs. Chris Eubank Jr. in Play For July 15 or July 22

German tabloid BILD writes that Arthur Abraham (46-5) will take on IBO super middleweight champ Chris Eubank, Jr, (24-1) on July 15 or 22 in London. Abraham just won a WBO eliminator but apparently takes the Eubank fight rather than facing WBO king Gilberto Ramirez again. Ramirez won the WBO title from Abraham last April with a twelve round decision in Las Vegas, as part of the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley HBO Pay-Per-View.

0Eubank fighting shot fighters (Abraham) or paper champions for fake titles (Quillin for IBO title at 168?) Abraham in his prime would probably KO Eubank easy. Dude is 28 years old and has achieved nothing in his career except go backwards. When he steps up either at 160 or 168, I will be the first to watch him get KO'd.

Agree. Some cats live to sh^t on fights out of the gate & I fully expect many guys to do this with this fight cuz Abraham is obviously old + its Eubank, but this would be Eubank's best win if he does win. And I don't hate Abraham's chances here to upset.

Given Eubanks recent level of opposition im embracing this fight with open arms.

Eubank should be fighting Ramirez in a much more sizzling match up instead! This will be Abraham's last stand. They say power is the last thing to go but Abraham, Kermit Cintron, and Tyrone Brunson would beg to differ. These guys went from big power to damn near powerless.

If Eubank makes a statement in this fight it could catapult him into the big british domestic fights he wants ie Groves, Degale or Callum Smith, IBO or not.
