Comments Thread For: Spence: Pacquiao Would Fight Me, Arum Probably Won't Want It

NEW YORK Errol Spence Jr. doesn't think Manny Pacquiao would shy away from fighting him. The new IBF welterweight champion isn't so sure, though, that Pacquiao's handlers would welcome that 147-pound championship unification fight. The 27-year-old Spence (22-0, 19 KOs) figures they'll want to keep Pacquiao away from him because the Filipino superstar is 39 and far removed from his physical prime.

Yep. That's exactly right. Lol @ people who think Manny is afraid of fighting certain fighters. He wanted the Marquez rematch right after getting kod... But Arum and Roach are the ones who seems not too down with him or Crawford... At this stage of Manny's career I think they making a smart move but it s*cks for the fans..

He has no business being In the ring with Spence at this stage of his career. Spence beats both Floyd and Manny at this point.

Spence needs to stay focus on Thurman, Garcia, Porter, etc. because those guys are all under Haymon! The question is. "can Haymon deliver one of those guys"?

Spence is not going to get Manny for whatever reason so don't start chasing! Spence just had a big win so will Haymon deliver match his best or will he bring in more TBAs?

It's more of Roach & Team Manny not wanting Crawford! Arum is really pushing for a Manny/Crawford. Marquez is the one who didn't want to face Manny after the knockout! The KO pretty much closed the book on the Pacman chapter.

Pac would be the favorite against all three. I make fun of him for cherry picking but he did recently dominate Bradley. people are only sleeping on Manny because Mayweather made him look like a chump. And Spence in particular still has a lot of holes in his game, he's not ready to fight a crafty veteran like Pac
