  • Comments Thread For: Murray, Who Went Blind in One Eye, Says Brook Made Right Move

Former welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-2, 25 KOs) has been taking a lot of heat from the critics, and some fighters, for the outcome of last Saturday's fight with Errol Spence. Brook was making a mandatory defense of his IBF welterweight title against Spence before a crowd of 27,000 at Bramall Lane in Sheffield. The fight was competitive for seven rounds, before Spence started taking over around the eight. Brook went down in the tenth, and then took a voluntary knee for the full count in the eleventh round.

Its just too bad that people who sat behind their keyboards can decide who is a warrior abd who is not.

He's obviously so right. It's a little like when Ali lost to Frasier and they were all crying in the dressing room 'its only a fight ' he told them!

Given the specialist information and the two similar injuries Kell has suffered I hope that is enough to make the right decision and say that's enough. He doesn't want to go out like that but maybe he should as unlike Murray he still has his sight and bag's of money.

        Great words from Murray

Brook fought well, although he got stopped, he still has my respect

I wouldn't feed into the trolls of the world who call him a quitter. Watching him fight back in the late rounds, that wasn't a quitter in there

Brook might as well retire then. Heck why even box, just have a pillow fight out there.

Why is he making millions then?? People work at dangerous jobs everyday for far, far less. So I guess the plan is now in boxing, talk gangster, take millions then take a knee quickly if by some rare stoke of fate you get hit. Who Knew! Boxing can be dangerous??? Broks needs to retire and find a safer sport like maybe water balet, of coarse with a lifeguard handy in case he swallows some water. Arturo Gatti must be laughing at him from above right now. Hey Kell! It's fighting! Not dancing

Brook should have just stayed down in the tenth instead of taking a knee in the eleventh or went down in the next combination. It would have looked better.
