Comments Thread For: Kovalev's Promoter 'Comfortable' with Judges for Ward-Kovalev 2

Back in November as Sergey Kovalev (30-1, 26 KOs) dropped a highly disputed 12-round decision to Andre Ward, the head of Main Events, Kathy Duva, didn't hide her displeasure with the trio of Burt Clements, Glenn Trowbridge and John McKaie (who all scored the fight 114-113 for Ward).

What Else Can She Say Without Risking Offending the Judges

Judges are human too, so you don't want to go kicking them while they're doing your fight.

If Kovalev wins, I hope he vows not to fight again in America, with her corrupt judges, and trainers that are "zeroes!" I hope he shows those Americans how displeased with how he's been treated and moves back to Mother Russia!

You know that will never happen. He's fought pretty much all his fights in America, lives in America, has no problem collecting that American dollar but somehow they started complain about the judges only when it suits them

Ward is mobbed up with the occult establishment, Kovalev has to assume the judges and ref are crooked again. Kovalev also has to assume Jackson his trainer is helping Ward with information. Hopefully Kov listens to his Russians and goes all out for the KO like he should have in the first fight.

He won't make any real money there.
